Saad has been linked to the University for decades. She studied German and Art History in Aachen and – except for a short stint of teaching at the Goethe-Institut in Algiers – has been working in a number of RWTH institutions since. She is the mother of two children and meanwhile, also a grandmother of two, and she is committed to family-friendly working hours and allows remote work from home. She stays in contact with employees who are on parental leave and strives to make transitions and re-entries smooth. She's not afraid of "unusual" careers; quite the contrary, she enjoys providing support for making new career plans succeed.

Emma Saad is more than a boss. She challenges and supports everyone in their individuality.
