Janos L. Urai and Klaus Reicherter are "Famos für Familie"
RWTH Professors Janos L. Urai and Klaus Reicherter have been honored with the RWTH prize "Famos für Familie". The prize was awarded for the sixth time to management personnel at the Aachen university, who have put forth considerable effort for family-friendly work conditions. All university employees were invited to nominate superiors for the prize. Deputy Chancellor Thomas Trännap handed out the awards during a celebration, in which representatives of the Equal Opportunities Office and colleagues of the two professors participated.
Univ.-Prof. Dr. Klaus Reicherter supervises the Institute of Neotectonics and Geohazards, and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Janos Urai the Institute for Structural Geology, Tectonics and Geomechanics. Both institutions are located on the third floor of the Lochnerstraße 4-20 building. A baby room was set up there, which employees can use, for example if they have last minute problems with childcare. Both professors will use the prize money of 500 euros to further equip the baby room.
