ATEC12: Technology and Entrepreneurship Community Congress in Aachen
The conference on May 17 will be the highlight of the newly minted Startup Week Aachen.
RWTH Innovation, digitalHUB Aachen e.V., and Collective Incubator e.V. will be hosting the Aachen Technology and Entrepreneurship Congress (ATEC) for the 12th time on May 17, 2022. The conference will now also cap off Startup Week Aachen, a new event taking place for the first time this year. This multi-day event will give startups and those interested in founding a company the opportunity to get to know one another through various formats and events and exchange ideas about current challenges and innovative solutions.
Spurred on by the motto “Dare the impossible,” many people interested in technology and startups will come together in Aachen to network with founders, companies, investors, and prominent guests and to discuss the potential of technological solutions at ATEC. With over 1,000 participants set to gather on-site at “DAS LIEBIG” in Aachen, the event is, unfortunately, sold out. However, anyone interested can still follow the ATEC12 virtually via live stream.
More than 100 startups will meet more than 30 investors here in Aachen. In the so-called pitch battle, the six NRW universities of the “Excellence Start-up Center.NRW” initiative will each send one startup into the race; rounding out the field will be two university startups from Maastricht and Liège.
Many Exciting Guests and Presentation of the Spin-off Award
This year’s speakers include science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar; Female Founders’ COO Nina Wöss; founder, investor, and author Frank Thelen; Ecosia founder Christian Kroll; and The Climate Choice founder Lara Obst. In addition, the winners of the first round of the Spin-off Awards 2022 will also be announced at ATEC12.
Expanding the theme around ATEC12, RWTH Innovation, digitalHUB Aachen e.V., FH Aachen, and the City of Aachen have decided to jointly organize Startup Week Aachen for the first time this year. From May 16 to 20, those interested in setting up their own business can expect a diverse program with offerings on entrepreneurship and startups, growth, digitization, and innovation. The events range from workshops, short talks, and advising sessions to the so-called Fuck Up Stories talks and the various offerings on the ATEC agenda.
ATEC is supported by the “Excellence Start-up Center.NRW” initiative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization, and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
