The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology bids farewell to its graduates

 

At the Day of Electrical Engineering, scheduled to take place December 8, this year's graduates of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology will celebrate their achievements and say farewell. 691 students have successfully completed theirs Bachelor's and Master's programs, and 97 doctoral candidates have received their doctorate.

At the event, which ist opened RWTH Rector Ernst Schmachtenberg and Faculty Dean Wilfried Mokwa, newly appointed Professor Christoph Jungemann will give his inaugural lecture on the topic of "Semiconductors: More than a Big Mess?! On the Interplay of Theory and Practice."

Subsequently, outstanding graduates will be honored by receiving the STAWAG and Telefonica awards for the best doctoral theses, the Bosch and Siemens awards for the best Master's theses, and the Rohde-Schwarz award for the best Bachelor's thesis.

Furthermore, Dr. Marc Aretz from BMW will give a talk on vehicle acoustics research and sound design at the BMW Group.

Starting 7pm, the celebrations will continue with a gala event at Kasteel Vaalsbroek, Vaals.
