Collaborative Research Center on the Internet of the Future
TU Darmstadt, University of Illinois und RWTH Aachen Join Forces in Research
The German Research Foundation has announced the establishment of the Collaborative Research Center "MAKI - Multi-Mechanism Adaptation for the Internet of the Future," a joint project of TU Darmstadt, the University of Illinois, USA, and RWTH Aachen University.
From January 2013 onwards, the participating researchers from the engineering sciences and the fields of computer science, urban sociology and the sociology of space will develop the basis for future communication systems that are much more adaptable to their environment.
For its participation in the research center, the RWTH Chair of Communication and Distributed Systems (COMSYS), headed by Professor Klaus Wehrle, will receive funding in the amount of 650000 Euros over the next few years.
Co-ordinating university for the Collaborative Research Center is TU Darmstadt.
