"How to Make the Energy Transition a Success" – Research and Innovation as a Driving Force for Social Change

Andreas Feicht, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, will come to Aachen to speak as part of the "JARA-ENERGY Talks" series.

 

Energy, above all clean energy, is a highly important topic of increasing interest and relevance. On Thursday, October 10, 2019, State Secretary Andreas Feicht will give a lecture on "How to Make the Energy Transition a Success – Research and Innovation as a Motor for Social Change".

At the beginning of 2019, Feicht assumed the office of State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy and is responsible for energy policy. Previously, the economist held the position of Chairman of the Management Board of WSW Energie & Wasser AG, was Chairman of the Management Board of WSW Wuppertaler Stadtwerke GMBH, and Chairman of the Management Board of WSW mobil GmbH.

The event is part of the JARA ENERGY Talks, a joint event series hosted by Forschungscampus Flexible Elektrische Netze FEN, the E.ON Energy Research Center, the Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives, and the Jülich Aachen Research Alliance (JARA) between RWTH and Forschungszentrum Jülich.

The aim is to provide information on the state of research and development in the field of energy supply and all its facets. In addition, the JARA-ENERGY Talks provide a platform for discussion with high-profile personalities from the energy sector.

The event is scheduled to begin at 7pm, Couvenhalle, Kármánstraße 17-19, 52062 Aachen. After his talk, State Secretary Feicht will be available to answer questions from the audience.
