RWTH Students Win Architecture Competition


Weiwen Yang, Zixi Zhao, and Jialun Yao have been presented with the Transformation 2019 architecture award.


The prize is awarded by the Association of Arts and Culture of the German Economy within a competition organized by the Federation of German Industries BDI.

The Master‘s students were awarded first place for their contribution "Pixel Quarter," a design draft which demonstrates how the "Meister-Areal" retail park in Nuremberg can be transformed into a lively urban quarter.

The design was created at the RWTH Chair for Urban Design under the direction of Professor Christa Reicher.
