The Studies for Senior Citizens program at RWTH Aachen University will start on October 10, 2022 and will again offer a variety of topics and activities. The new schedule of events is now available.

The focus is on events from the regular course offerings that have been opened up to senior students. RWTH therefore focuses on the dialog between younger and older students, from which both sides can benefit. In addition, there are offerings exclusively for senior students. As is the case every semester, the popular Wednesday seminar with its segments attracts lots of interest. The lectures range from "On God and the Jedis" to "On or with Covid: Study sheds light on death figures" to "The "breakdown service" in space comes from Aachen".

For 100 euros per semester - a waiver is possible in justified individual cases - interested parties can put together an interdisciplinary schedule. Anyone can participate, regardless of age, with or without a German Abitur. An academic degree cannot be obtained, as this would require a regular course of study.

Applications will be accepted from September 12 through November 11; application forms are attached to the schedule of events. Senior students already admitted in the last two semesters will be sent the brochure. It is also available in banks, at some branches of the Sparkasse, in bookstores in the city area, in the SuperC, Templergraben 57, and in the RWTH store in the main building, Templergraben 55. The event schedule is also available here.
