In order to make unique books or produce them in small series, book binders specializing in single and special production, cut sheets of paper, fold, join, glue, or bind them with a machine or by hand. Using leather, tissue, hand finished marbled paper, or other similar fine materials, they create book covers and produce embossed or stamped editions, and do repairs or decorations such as gold-block.
