Agnes Förster has been University Professor of Planning Theory and Urban Development at the RWTH Faculty of Architecture since July 2018. Her key research areas are innovative methods and instruments of urban development as well as urban transformation processes in areas such as living, working, and mobility.


Born on October 22, 1976, in Jena.


1996 to 2003 Studied Architecture at the Technical University of Munich and at EPFL, Lausanne
2010 to 2014 Doctorate from the Technical University of Munich


Since 2003 Architect and urban planner (self-employed)
2005 to 2015 Research assistant at the Chair of Urban Development, Technical University of Munich
Since 2014 Head of STUDIO | STADT | REGION, an interdisciplinary team concerned with urban and regional development located in Munich
2015 Research stay at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands
2016 to 2017 Lecturer at Munich University of Applied Sciences in the Master's program "Community Development" and the Bachelor's program "Management of Social Innovations"
