We supervise professors, all other civil servants, and temporary professors from the time they are hired till they end their employment.
We advise you regarding all human resource legal matters during your employment at RWTH Aachen and provide you with important information. Personnel is selected by the University institution or the faculty. The Appointments Support Team accompanies and supports the faculties' process for obtaining new professors.
Aside from advising university professors, we also accompany their appointment process. The Appointments Support Team advises the appointment committees and faculties beginning early in the appointment process. We particularly offer efficient and effective support to the heads of the appointment committees. We are the contact during the entire process and are happy to help. Additionally, we are available to answer human resource legal questions regarding candidates.

Have you applied for an available professorship? The appointment monitor keeps you informed about the current status of your appointment process. You can view the status using the reference number you received in the confirmation of receipt after submitting your application.
We are helping to establish a cross-border career network together with our project partnersn in a youRegion project. We aim to support our scientists' international partners in their job search in the Interreg Euregio Meuse-Rhine area. Access to the cross-border regional labor market should be simplified through good and personal networking with universities and international companies in this Euregion.
You can reach us Monday to Friday between 8 and 11:30am in person and without registering beforehand. If you would like an appointment at another time, please call us. Hiring can only take place if an appointment has been arranged beforehand. Please contact your case worker. Our division meeting is Thursday, 9 to 10:30am. We are not available for advising in person during this time.
