The Department of Planning, Development, and Controlling belongs to RWTH Aachen Central University Administration and is broken down into three departments.
Department 6.0 - Planning, Development and Controlling prepares decisions made by governing and advisory bodies such as the Rectorate, the Board of Governors, and the Strategy Board concerning issues such as university planning and controlling. Further, the department prepares proposals and makes recommendations pertaining to the strategic development of RWTH Aachen University in research, teaching, and learning.
Our team supports the Rectorate and the Faculties through the collection, processing and analysis of quantitative and qualitative information. The department is also responsible for cost accounting, statistical analyses, as well as internal and external reporting.
The department acts as the University's project coordinator for all activities related to Germany's Excellence Initiative. Furthermore, it is responsible for the implementation of the Institutional Strategy, RWTH 2020, and the further development of the University's controlling and scientific quality control processes.
