Data Protection
RWTH Aachen is a public body in accordance with the North Rhine-Westphalia Data Protection Act. In accordance with Section 32a of the North-Rhine Westphalia Data Protection Act, the university appointed a Data Protection Officer.
Responsibilities and Goals
The goal of the North-Rhine Westphalia Data Protection Act is the assurance of one's right to informational self-determination: Each person should be able to self-determine the exposure and use of their data. Consequently, the Data Protection Officer's responsibilities include supporting the university and institutions in implementing data protection.
Students and employees can contact the Data Protection Officer with questions regarding data protection at any time. Your concerns will be handle confidentially.
