Semester Ticket

RWTH Aachen students receive a AVV and NRW Semester Ticket, which allows them to use public transportation throughout NRW. This includes all buses, trams, subways, and regional trains in second class. Additional information is available on the ASEAG and AStA websites.

 

The Semester Ticket as an E-Ticket

Beginning winter semester 2017/2018 ASEAG will be issuing the Semester Ticket as an e-ticket in the form of a chipcard.

 

When is the Semester Ticket valid?

  • During the semester: October 1 to March 31 and April 1 to September 30. It is also valid during the lecture-free period.
  • Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Important Information for First-Semester Students

The ticket is only valid once the semester officially starts, that is October 1 or April 1. If you are taking a bridge course, present your documentation to AStA to get a monthly pass at a reduced price.
