Special Voluntary Engagement in Research
RWTH welcomes and explicitly supports voluntary work in research. Scholars are involved in the committees of the German Research Foundation, the self-governing research organization in Germany, on a predominantly voluntary basis and thus provide important impetus for science in the country.
DFG Liaison Officer
As a member of the German Research Foundation (DFG), RWTH has also appointed Professor Josef Hegger from its circle of university lecturers as a DFG liaison officer. He will act as a local contact for DFG applicants, providing them with advice and support.
