Science Events for the Public

RWTH’s Science Night 5 to 12 attracts over 6,000 visitors every year on the second Friday in November, from 7pm to midnight. Highlights from the world of science are presented at exhibit stands, in talks, demonstrations, and shows. Everything is explained in a comprehensible and tangible way by researchers from RWTH and is bolstered by a combination of music, art, and culture.

RWTH also ensures knowledge transfer to society via our Knowledge Hub and key topics. As part of the Green Technology focus topic, the two public GreenTech Expos Plastics and Circular Economy and Energy provided fascinating insights into current research approaches and projects at the University.

The first GreenTech Late Night at RWTH also offered keynote speeches, interviews, and late-night talks on three different stages at Theater Aachen. The aim was to look for answers to the questions: How can/must we tackle the climate crisis? Through technology? Through abstinence?
