AStA Organizes Blood Drive for Uniklinik RWTH Aachen at SuperC in Aachen City Center

Is it really wise to give blood right now? Yes, if you are healthy, you should definitely give blood!

Since the first infection with the novel coronavirus in the Heinsberg district was announced on February 26, 2020, not even half as many people have donated blood on a daily basis as is required on average per day. "But patient care does not stand still – even in these times, serious accidents happen, while operations or cancer therapies still have to be performed. Blood preparations are urgently required for this," says Dr. Hutschenreuter.

The risk of becoming infected when donating blood is low because only people who are feeling fit and healthy come to give blood. The blood donation is organized by the RWTH student body and takes place at the Sparkassenforum at SuperC (Templergraben 57), Monday to Friday from 11:30am to 5pm. At present, no blood drives at Uniklinik RWTH Aachen or other external locations can take place!
