Horizon 2020
EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation
With a budget of just under 80 billion euros, HORIZON 2020, the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation, has promoted cross-border cooperation between research associations of companies, research centers, and universities from 2014 to 2020. Horizon 2020 was scheduled to end on December 31, 2020. The follow-up program Horizon Europe started on January 1, 2021. We have put together more information for you on our Horizon Europe page.
The program funds are used to support top-level research and to address Europe's social, economic, environmental, and industrial challenges. The aim of this strategy is to create more growth and jobs through increased innovation in products, services, and processes.
