You can also benefit from other workshop offerings for professors and middle managers.
Career coaching sessions give postdocs, non-professorial academic staff, and professors the opportunity to work on their professional development with external coaches. Possible topics for discussion include leadership, management and communication, career development, complexity management, and how to reconcile career development with private and family life. RWTH offers to provide a coach and finances up to six hours of coaching.
Support of Collegial Groups
Executive training at RWTH places particular emphasis on the coaching of collegial groups of academic peers. Self-organized collegial groups meeting on a regular basis have the opportunity to be supported and guided by a coach. If you are interested in this offering, please get in touch with us.
Peer Coaching Groups
The CPL offers postdocs and professors to participate in two continuing education and training courses per year (partly in English) in a peer coaching format. After a kick-off event, the peer coaching group will meet several times throughout the year. Facilitated by a coach and supported by appropriate tools, the participants will discuss relevant leadership situations.
Support for Team Coaching Activities
Team development measures can be instrumental in promoting positive team practices and outcomes, implementing change initiatives, and achieving conflict resolution. We can advise you and provide you with coaches to support your team development measures and team coaching activities. These offerings are complemented by the offerings of the in-house social and psychological counseling team.
I want to thank RWTH Aachen for its broad spectrum of continuing education opportunities, from which we postdocs can profit for free. The one-on-one career development coaching with Sabine Ludwig was particularly excellent, allowing me to supplement and complete the breadth of my skills in a way that is both tailored and advantageous to me.
