The IP Management of the RWTH Aachen Division of Technology Transfer will be happy to support you in the invention and patenting process. We work on these processes in close cooperation with the RWTH Innovation GmbH. By using the following link to an (access protected) online form you can easily register your invention online. You can also find other relvant forms on our Intranet pages. We are happy to support and advise you in all questions concerning your invention, employee inventor remuneration and the associated administrative processes.

RWTH Innovation's Innovation Managers are available to advise you throughout the entire innovation process with a focus on the protection of intellectual property. You can find more information about the advisory and support services on the corresponding web pages. RWTH Innovation also supports the members of the university in the development and implementation of technology-oriented start-ups.

Services for Start-Up Founders

The RWTH Entrepreneurship Center is the first point of contact for any students and researchers at RWTH Aachen University who are interested in launching a business. Regardless of the maturity level or sophistication of the idea, it offers you custom-tailored coaching for a successful implementation of your start-up project.

We can help you, for example, with the EXIST grant application or with the search for local and supra-regional investors to fund your project. In addition, we offer regular events to teach you the basics of starting a business. Highlights in this regard are both the atec conference – our flagship event with integrated investor speed dating – and our specialized start-up training. In addition, our broad and intensive involvement in entrepreneurial networks in the Aachen region ensures that we can put you in touch with just the right person or place with regard to coaching, financing, law, or other topics.
