Just Talk It Over With Someone!
Our academic advisors offer you personal advice and assistance with many questions regarding studies. We see our advising as a way to help you help yourself. We guide you on the way to making personal decisions and finding solutions. Our advising does not aim to promote university studies or continue studies at RWTH Aachen. Our conversations are only oriented towards your concerns and interests. Our conversations are strictly confidential. Everything we discuss remains between us.
Info Hours – Office Hours – Individual Appointment
Depending on why you are coming to us, you can either attend open office hours or arrange an advising appointment. Here you can find out, how to get in contact with us and what times we offer open office hours.
Presentations and University Visits for School Groups
In addition to advising in person, we offer info sessions and presentations, where school students, students, parents, and school teachers can get information all about choosing a course of study and studying at the University. Either on location at your school or directly at RWTH Aachen - if you visit us at RWTH Aachen, you can combine your information session with a university tour or a lecture visit. Please contact us via email with what you are interested in.
Advising Day – Our Courses of Study in Overview
Every year at the end of January/beginning of February we hold an advising day under the motto "Do you already know, what you want to study?" Over three days the faculties, departments, student representative councils, and many other university institutions give presentations and have info stands about the courses of study at RWTH. Presentations about other important questions regarding studies, such as choosing a course of study, funding studies, housing and study placement allocations and institute tours, technical presentations, and sample lectures round out the program.
Our Programs for School Students – Try It Out First!
There are currently over 50 programs for school students at RWTH Aachen: even elementary students can discover RWTH and get to know the University as a place for research, university studies, and training during their time at school. Age and target-group appropriate programs such as the Schülerlabor or Schüleruni offer a look into the variety of subjects and offer an initial orientation. Our newsletter additionally informs school students, parents, and teachers about current offers and news.
