Online measurements of fibre reinforced plastics become more and more important. Thermoplastic polymers are easily processed into filaments. Some of the materials exhibit remarkable characteristics such as the PVDF. Due to its unique structure, it's piezoelectric effect can be used in filament form for monitoring mechanical deformation.
Previously melt-spun fibres need to be contacted and characterized. In a lab surrounding, you will be guided concerning choice of materials and their processing. With your work, you will be given the opportunity to support a current research project.
You should be familiar with sophisticated knowledge in physics. Furthermore, you are able to express your ideas and discuss results as well as think further when challenges occur.
