MoveOn

In the era of Industry 4.0, the use of the data is essential for many production technologies to improve the process and product quality. The analysis of the data also helps scientists and engineers to better understand the investigated process and carry out further research more efficiently. Especially for complex processes, e.g. thermal spraying, a proper analysis of the collected data can provide enormous benefits. One requirement to use these benefits in thermal spraying is the implementation of a suitable and efficient data management system for the process and coating data, e.g. a “data lake” approach. http://www.iot.rwth-aachen.de/fileadmin/Studentische_Arbeiten/Data_Lake.pdf

Task

- Realization of the communication between the data base and thermal spraying units for on-line data acquisition - Implementation of a data management system with open-source tools.

Requirements

You are studying mechanical engineering, materials engineering, mathematics, computer science or a comparable course of study. Are you interested in the implementation of digitization for modern coating technology? Then contact us by email or phone. Prior knowledge in programming and data base is desired.
