MoveOn
Textiles produced from carbon dioxide are the new approach to reduce the overall emission of carbon dioxide in production processes and to protect the environment. The institute for Textile Technology (ITA) Aachen has participated in two European Union research project and has developed CO2 based filaments successfully. In further continuation, ITA has developed textile products i.e. socks in cooperation with industrial partners. After successful research work, ITA, Aachen is aiming at industrial implementation as well as prozess optimization to support industrial implementation. It provides opportunity to students to integrate the thesis work with cutting edge technologies. The research work can be integrated with various aspects of industrial implementation of a new product.
Task
Fine tuning of process parameters Tests with different additives to optimize filament properties Networking with industrial partners to identify implementation potential Collection of requirements for industrial implementation Documentation of various requirements for industrial implementation
