MoveOn

Glycerol electrooxidation is investigated as an alternative to the anodic oxygen evolution reaction in order to lower the voltage and thus energy consumption of hydrogen production. Catalysts are synthesised and characterized and tested in electrolysis experiments. Selectivity and conversion are obtained using chromatography.

Task

The tasks are catalyst synthesis, running electrochemical reactions as well as evaluation of the obtained data. Characterization and liquid analysis are not performed by the student.

Requirements

The student should have experience in working in a laboratory in order to be able to work independently and safe.
