MoveOn

In this project, the acoustic component of a virtual environment will be created. The process of making a virtual environment audible is called auralization. For this, the in-house auralization application Virtual Acoustics (VA) and the room acoustic simulation software RAVEN will be used. When creating a virtual room acoustic environment, there are a lot of parameters that can be adjusted. This is a vital part in the creation of such an environment to achieve a real-time auralization. The process starts with the modeling of the acoustic 3D mesh and the assignment of the material properties. Afterwards the parameters of the auralization have to be specified. The result will be an interactive, spatial audio demonstration of a room-acoustic experience.

Task

- Setup of the virtual room environment - Parameterization of the room acoustic simulation

Requirements

- Basic knowledge about 3D modeling - Basic knowledge about acoustic phenomena - Curiosity to learn new things - Ability to autonomously identify problems and work on their solution.
