Open Educational Resources (OER) are an essential element in digitizing higher education teaching and are seen as an essential building block for openness in the education system. OER can potentially play an important role in improving education around the globe since it eases access to high-quality digital educational materials. However, there are challenges that are facing the deployment of OER in Higher Education. One of the most important challenges is the conversion of already existing educational resources to OER. To overcome this problem, we have developed a tool “convOERter” to convert the existing educational material with as much automation as possible to OER. In order to evaluate the efficiency of the tool, we have integrated it within many OER workshops and sessions and asked the participants to fill out a survey to collect their feedback. The current step is to analyze the participants’ responses and feedback to develop the tool further.
