MoveOn
The project buildING | bridges aims at the integration of gender and diversity perspectives in research and teaching in engineering. In the strand buildING?bridges@teaching of the research project at hand, innovative and integrated teaching formats are developed with the help of a gender- and diversity-oriented teaching evaluation and modern, media-supported blended learning approaches in cooperation with the Academic and Research Department Engineering Hydrology. Beginning with a status quo analysis the implementation of gender and diversity aspects will be designed in two regular lectures of the curriculum. In a subsequent evaluation, vacancies and needs for action are identified and existing teaching concepts are revised. Based on this, new transferable approaches for gender- and diversity-equitable educational content and its mediation are developed.
Task
At universities, especially in engineering, new modern teaching formats will be developed to optimize the content of learning as well as the learning skills of students by using gender and diversity expertise. Implementing gender and diversity aspects into integrated education programmes like blended learning offers a great potential not only for engineering studies in Germany but also at European and international universities. Therefore, the project deals with the identification of innovative teaching formats in national and international contexts in order to implement gender and diversity aspects especially in engineering. By means of subsequent analysis, vacancies and needs as well as models of good practice should be elaborated. Within your project you are welcome to participate in meetings with project partners. We are looking forward to your application.
