Tufting is the most productive process to manufacture textiles with pile structure in textile engineering. The yarn Tension is proved to be an important factor affecting the quality of tufted textiles. In order to increase the quality, the yarn tension force should be actively controled.

Task

Developement of a closed loop control system for the yarn Tension; Implementation of the system into the tufting machine; Field tests and verfication of methods.
