Thermal imaging is a technology to visualize infrared radiation using thermal cameras. In several research-oriented projects for automation or process control thermal imaging was used at AMT (Advanced Mining Technologies). To facilitate the handling of the camera for users the student shall develop and implement a graphical user interface (GUI) for a thermal camera. It should at least obtain the communication with the camera, storage of data and first image processing steps. We at AMT are committed to providing technologies and system solutions for harsh environments like in mining and heavy machinery construction. Resource efficiency, safety and social responsibility are our vision and mission. Our diverse team strives to always provide excellent and at the same time viable solutions. We provide a creative workplace to research innovative ideas and deliver outstanding results.

Task

-Define requirements for the GUI -Develop a concept for the GUI -Implement the GUI -Test its functions with a real camera -Describe the process

Requirements

-Research oriented mindset -Strong problem solving skills -Experience in developing software in a team -Outstanding interpersonal skills
