Using Augmented Reality (AR) in education is an emerging trend. Currently, educational AR apps can either be used individually or with a group of several people simultaneously (e.g. in seminars). The aim of this project is to develop an interactive AR app for (student) groups, in which every student has a different view and perspective on the virtual object in order to complete a given task together as a team. The AR app is able to determine the position with the help of an AR marker. In the intended scenario, each participant receives a specific role in an AR setting that is attached with specific actions and possibilities of operating the virtual object. This high degree of interaction, in turn, allows simultaneous virtual and real-life group work.


- Developing an AR app that detects different users’ positions and assigns different user roles for interacting with one another - Testing the app with a sample group - Evaluating and presenting the results


- Proficient computer science knowledge - Good proficiency in programming languages (preferably C#/Java) - Experience with game engine softwares such as Unity 3D and mobile AR frameworks such as Vuforia is preferable - Experience in the field(s) of Game Design, Game Development, and/or Augmented Reality is a plus - Advanced knowledge in image processing is a plus - Interdisciplinary thinking, ability to work in a team
