KAIST, located at the edge of Daejeon, is Korea's leading technical university.

KAIST College of Business in Seoul is not open for the exchange program anymore.

At the west gate of the university you can find countless small and cheap restaurants and bars. There are numerous cafés, small supermarkets, cafeterias, and restaurants on the campus. The campus is laid out like a park and includes a lake, a forest, fitness studios, sports halls, billiard rooms, and numerous other amenities.

Seoul can be reached by bus within two hours. Since Daejeon is centrally located and central transporation hub, other parts of the country are easily accessible.

In the 2013 QS World University Ranking KAIST was in 19th place in mechanical engineering and thus at the same level as RWTH.

As well as offering study abroad opportunities, KAIST also offers research stays. If you are interested in applying, please submit your application via the RWTH International Office. If you would like advice or to apply to KAIST College of Business in Seoul, please contact Stefanie Spatafora at Faculty 8.

Moreover, KAIST regularly hosts summer school in various subjects. For further information, please refer to our web page on Kaist International Summer School.
