National Taiwan University is considered the best university in Taiwan and falls among the best universities worldwide in many renowned rankings. It has about 33000 enrolled students and is located in the center of Taipei. The university was originally founded in 1928 bei the Japenese during the Japanese emperial period. The university received its current name in 1945 after the Chinese regained control of the island. It is one of the best universities in the world for business and economics and offers a first class education with numerous renowned professors and very good facilities and supervision. The enormous campus contains most of the institutes, a giant sports center, an open air swimming pool, various tennis courts, a football field, a baseball diamond, two lakes, a large palm boulevard, student dorms, multiple cafeterias, etc.
The green city of Taipei with 2.6 million residents is located in northern Taiwan, offering an ideal location to discover the rest of the island with its numerous mountains, beaches, and cities. There is also a great deal to discover in Taipei as well, such as diverse restaurants, parks, night markets, bars, and enough nature including beaches, mountains, and rain forests.
