The University of California Davis, also known as UC Davis, was founded in 1905 and belongs to the University of California, UC for short, a system of public universities in the US state of California. The university's campus is located in Davis, about 25 kilometers west of Sacramento. Who can apply?

Bachelor's and Master's students, who have a GPA of 3,0 or better as calculated in the American grading system (this compares to a 2,0 GPA in the German grading system).

Please note that students in Master’s programs can take part in principle, but they are only allowed to choose courses from the undergraduate program of UC Davis.

Summer School - Since the summer school is not a regular part of the exchange framework, you must organize the formalities of attending the summer school yourself, as a so called freemover.

Language Requirements

At the time of application:

Proof of English skills, either documented by a language or Abitur certificate with at least Level B1. This corresponds to five years of schooling with an Abitur after the 12th grade and six years of schooling with an Abitur after the 13th grade.

After nomination by RWTH Aachen:

TOEFL or other documentation is required.

TOEFL of at least 550 PBT, 79/80 IBT, 800 TOEIC or 7 IELTS

Tuition Fees

Tuition fees are not waived! About 7,800 US dollars per quarter.

11,450 US dollars per Semester (1 Summer Session plus 1 quarter, i.e. Summer 2 plus Fall or Spring plus Summer 1). Semester price includes a 250 US dollars discount

23,050 US dollars per Academic Year (3 quarters, paid in full in advance). Includes additional 350 US dollars discount.
