The Pontifical Catholic University in Valparaíso is a pontifical university in Valparaíso. The university was founded on September 21, 1925. Through decree by Pope John Paul II, it was recognized as a pontifical university in 2003. Students can study at the following faculties: Architecture, Natural Resources, Agronomy, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Engineering, Law and Social Sciences, Life Sciences and Hydroponics, Philosophy, Education, and Theology.
