National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is a research university in Hsinchu, Taiwan. It is particularly well known for its research and teaching in electrical engineering, computer science, and business administration. The institution has 10 faculties and a total of 4,786 students and 7,505 postgraduates. In the QS University Rankings, the University is placed 30th in Asia and 2nd in Taiwan.

Besides regular study and research stays, the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University also offers a short-term research stay program, which is funded by the Short Term Research Scholarship. All Master’s students and all Bachelor’s students who are in their third or last year of studies are welcome to apply for the scholarship.
