Kumamoto University is a Japanese national university in Kumamoto, Japan. It was founded in 1949 by a merger of six national schools. The city of Kumamoto is located in the middle of Kyushu Island, which is very scenic. The city is also called "forest city" because of its location.
The university offers a one or two-semester exchange program for students of materials science and materials engineering of Faculty 5.
