Sungkyunkwan University is a private university in South Korea. The university was founded in 1389 as a national institution of education and students were educated in accordance with Confucianism. The institution was reformed in 1885 into the modern Sungkyunkwan University and made its way to become one of the leading Korean universities.

SKKU is located in Seoul and Suwon. Suwon is one of Korea’s industrial centers only 45 kilometers from Seoul. In Suwon, there is the Natural Sciences Campus forming the bridge between research and industry. The second campus, the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus, is situated in the center of Seoul – the heart of Korea representing innovation and development.

Because of the location and a long history of excellence, SKKU offers a great opportunity for students to experience the cultural, economic, and political center of Korea.
