East China University of Science and Technology was founded in 1952 and is one of the universities in China that is directly under the direction of the Ministry of Education. The university is distributed among four locations within the urban city of Shanghai. There are a total of 25700 students at East China University of Science and Technology. There are partnerships with over 70 international universities. The academic year at East China University of Science begins in September. The second semester begins after the holidays around the Chinese New Year in February. Chinese is the main language of instruction.
