Service Units

There are various institutions at RWTH Aachen that offer their technical and educational media expertise to develop, implement, and optimize blended learning concepts for your teaching. The following institutions can offer you advanced education, trainings, workshops, and advising:

Center for Teaching and Learning Services

The new Center for Teaching and Learning Services (de) at RWTH Aachen University combines the departments ExAcT, LPM, MfL, SAM and AMM. Under the umbrella brand CLS, the departments act as independently profiled actors who design services to improve study conditions and teaching quality at RWTH Aachen University. The existing product and service offerings are closely coordinated, interlinked or designed in close cooperation.

Audiovisual Media Center – AVMZ

As part of the Faculty of Medicine, the Audiovisual Media Center, AVMZ for short, is responsible for supporting teaching, research, and continued education through media services. Due to its organizational tie to the Faculty, the AVMZ's services are first and foremost available to those in medicine, but it is possible that, under certain conditions, the AVMZ could support teachers at RWTH with blended learning topics such as collaborative projects or training offers.

University Library – UB

The University Library, UB, has numerous offers for blended learning: from online tutorials for first-year students to webinars to an interactive guide for inventors.

IT Center

Within the framework of the digitalization strategy, the IT Center is responsible for developing and operating services that support blended learning, expanding education-related functionalities of the RWTH App and supporting the associated IT processes for integration into the central IT structures of the university. Other responsibilities include technical support, (plug-in) development and 1st level support of the RWTHMoodle Learning Management System. In addition, the IT Center operates a video streaming platform that enables internal distribution of video material in RWTHMoodle.
