Due to a recent decision by the Rectorate of RWTH Aachen University, the application deadline for Bachelor's programs with open admission for winter semester 2020/21 will be exceptionally extended until November 13, 2020. Applications can now be submitted via our online application platform, RWTHonline. The regular admission requirements for Bachelor and Staatsexamen still apply and will be checked during the online application process.
The deadlines mentioned in the official list of application and enrollment deadlines are not effective for the duration of this regulation. This application deadline extension applies exclusively to winter semester 2020/21 and only for applications to Bachelor's programs with open admission.

Does my course of study have open admission or restricted admission?
Some courses of study at RWTH Aachen have open admission in the first course semester and higher course semesters. This means: If you fulfill the admission requirements, such as passing the Abitur, you will receive a letter of admission from RWTH directly after submitting an application and can then enroll.
Other courses of study at RWTH Aachen have restricted admission in the first course semester and higher course semesters. This means: If you would like to enroll in a restricted admission course of study, you must first apply for a study placement. You can apply via RWTHonline.
