Career Days and Fairs

 

RWTH offers numerous ways for companies to raise awareness and build interest in their organization, mission, and culture with our students.

 

With these offerings, we are making it possible for companies – both large and small, established or startup – to become visible to a sizeable group of students. These formats are a great way to address students who have not yet made up their minds and haven’t already committed to a particular company.

 

Digital Career Days

Virtual Networking With Selected Target Groups

Making contacts and recruiting RWTH graduates for your company is easy thanks to the virtual networking opportunities our Digital Career Days facilitate. These are small fairs for up to eight companies that consist of a company pitch followed by an individual Q&A session. Up to 280 students can register to participate in each event. Career Days offer an opportunity for students and companies in a specific sector to get in touch.

Our video sessions held via Zoom start with a number of company pitches: each participating company has five minutes to give a brief company presentation. A chat function is available, making it possible for companies to share relevant links and ask students questions as needed. In the subsequent Q&A sessions, students can talk to individual companies in dedicated breakout rooms. This allows them to ask questions and engage in an intensive exchange of information via video conferencing or chat. In the run-up to the event, companies also have the opportunity to provide further information and contact details on an online platform, making it possible for students to get informed about the participating businesses.

This format makes it possible for companies to present themselves as a potential employer to our talented soon-to-be graduates without the need to travel and with little organizational effort. The format has been successfully offered since 2020 and now permanently complements our face-to-face offerings. The basic package costs 1,300 euros and includes a company pitch, subsequent individual Q&A session, and your company's logo featured on the event website as well as company and contact information published on an online platform.

In the 2023 summer semester, we are offering our Digital Career Days on the following topics. Each event starts at 4:30 pm and ends at 7:00pm as a rule:

Graduate Fairs

The RWTH Career Center supports the “bonding” student initiative by helping organize the annual “bonding” graduate fair. This fair takes place every November and has become a well-established platform, successfully connecting employers and graduates for many years.
