The Career Center offers numerous ways for you to advertise your company or academic institution online.
Digital Career Days – Virtual Networking With Selected Target Groups
Making contacts despite the current crisis and recruiting RWTH graduates for your company – this can now be easily achieved remotely by participating in our Digital Career Days. These are small fairs for up to seven companies that consist of a company pitch followed by an individual Q&A session. Up to 150 selected students take part in each event. Career days offer an opportunity for students and companies in a specific sector to get in touch.
Our video sessions held via Zoom start with five-minute company pitches, during which students have the opportunity to submit questions via chat. Subsequently, students can talk to individual companies in dedicated virtual rooms via video conferencing or chat. Companies also have the opportunity to provide further information and contact details on an online platform, making it possible for students to access company information after the event.
This new format makes it possible to meet up with our talented soon-to-be graduates without the need to travel and with little organizational effort, even in times of crisis. The new format has been developed to compensate for the fact that holding in-person events is currently not possible, but we intend to keep the format part of our service offerings in the longer term to complement our face-to-face events. If you are interested in participating in our virtual events or have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact us by email.

This format specifically targets the group of students on the Dean's List. The Dean’s List is a measure to determine the top five percent best students in each course of study.
With the Business Talk program we offer companies the opportunity to reach out to students on the Dean’s List in a discipline-specific context. The company can offer case studies or strategy workshops, for example, and provides the tasks and the trainers themselves. RWTH Aachen University provides the Zoom video conferencing room and invites students on the Dean's List to the event. Students can be invited by course of study. The company decides how many students are to be invited and from which disciplines. We can also arrange for pre-selection by having the students send us an application including a CV. We would then pass these applications on to the company for selection. For our service we charge 1,200 euros without preselection or 1,800 euros if a preselection via CVs is desired.
Do you have your own ideas about how to best showcase your company at RWTH? From a straight-forward company presentation (career@...) to a whole-day event (innovation@...), we will gladly offer you our support. For a typical company presentation, for example, we would provide you with a zoom conference room for two hours and promote the event via our online platforms. The costs amount to 1,000 euros. For a further 500 euros we additionally advertise the event via our newsletter as well as to students of three degree programs of your choice. We will be happy to provide you with the cost for individualized programs on request.
The "Career Lunch" enables companies to establish contact with young RWTH doctoral candidates through personal conversation and to present their company as a potential employer. RWTH has prepared the infrastructural logistics (restaurant, special conditions) for you and will invite suitable candidates from your desired subject discipline for you. The company pays for the meal expenses. We charge each company 1,200 euros (not including tax) for preparation efforts, inviting doctoral candidates, and promoting the event.
Participation in the Semester Program of RWTH
We invite companies to support our students on their way to joining the job market by participating in special training sessions. For example, you can become a partner in our job interview training sessions. This format includes 20-minute job interviews, which are conducted by company representatives together with Career Center employees and one student. A maximum of eight simulated job interviews can take place per day. Each student will receive feedback from both the company representatives and Career Center employees right after the interview. In addition, companies can participate in our program offerings with other application-related and soft skills training sessions.
Publicizing Recruiting Events
For a fee of 3,000 euros we offer additional distribution via our exclusive mailing list to students in selected courses of study.
