In 2017, Knorr-Bremse became the first partner to take on lecture hall sponsorship at RWTH. Since then, the Knorr-Bremse Lecture Hall at C.A.R.L. has become a household name among students, employees, and visitors alike. Knorr-Bremse is now continuing its collaboration with RWTH Aachen University after extending its sponsorship for another three years.

"For Knorr-Bremse, lecture hall sponsorship is important in promoting young talent. During our long and intensive collaboration with RWTH, students get to know us as an appealing employer. We are thus able to inspire the engineers of the future with our company at an early stage," says Berna Tulga-Akcan, HR specialist responsible for university marketing at Knorr-Bremse.

The Knorr-Bremse Group, headquartered in Munich, is a global market leader in braking systems and a leading supplier of safety-related subsystems for rail and commercial vehicles. The Group currently employs around 29,000 people worldwide. As a long-standing collaboration partner of RWTH, it is represented at numerous University events and activities, such as the Graduate Celebration and RWTH’s Formula Student Team.
