Knorr-Bremse Group Kicks off Lecture Hall Sponsoring
With perfect timing, to coincide with the grand opening of the new lecture hall complex C.A.R.L., the “Knorr-Bremse-Hörsaal,” which seats 210 students, was inaugurated.
“When we heard that RWTH Aachen was looking for sponsors for the new C.A.R.L. lecture hall complex, we indicated our interest right away, since it is one of the biggest and most modern lecture hall complexes in all of Europe. In having a local presence, we can also show ourselves to be a future-oriented company that is interesting for potential junior scientific staff - because, after all, the students of today are the engineers of tomorrow,” explains Berna Tulga-Akcan, HR specialist for university marketing at Knorr-Bremse.
The Knorr-Bremse group, headquartered in Munich, is the leading manufacturer of braking systems for rail and commercial vehicles and employs approximately 25,000 staff worldwide. As a long-time partner of RWTH, the company is involved in many diverse university events and activities, such as the RWTH Graduation Celebration or the Formula Student Team of RWTH Aachen.
