Two RWTH Students Awarded Schüßler Prize
Schüßler Prize helps fund a semester abroad.
RWTH students Lucia Borggreve and Lukas Maximilian Kersting were awarded the Schüßler Prize for their academic achievements and social commitment. The prize has been awarded since 1995 and supports prospective civil and industrial engineers in their personal development. The prize is endowed with 5,000 euros per recipient to help them fund a semester abroad.
Borggreve and Kersting are 21 years old and enrolled in the civil engineering program. While Borggreve will use her prize money to spend a semester in Valencia, Spain, Kersting plans to travel to Luleå in Sweden.
The prize was presented by Christina Zimmermann, Managing Partner of Schüßler-Plan GmbH, Professor Stefanie Reese, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Professor Josef Hegger, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and Professor Martin Vlaßen from the Institute of Structural Concrete. The keynote speech on the topic of “C2C - The formula for the shift toward sustainability in the building sector” was given by Gerhard Feldmeyer.
