NRW Minister Garrelt Duin Visited Access

NRW Minister of Economic Affairs, Garrelt Duin, informed himself about current technology developments for the aerospace industry in the TechCenter of the affiliated institute Access e.V. During his visit he took a close look at the prodution steps of the low pressure turbine blades of the new generation. The Access TechCenter is a spin-off company of RWTH Aachen and processes all development contracts for European engine manufacturers. The blades which are already finished on an industrial pre-production scale are made up of light metal alloys and are distinguished through an up to fifiy percent reduction in weight.
