Award Winner from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to Conduct Research at RWTH Aachen

Eusebio Juaristi, a chemist from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City, will conduct research at RWTH Aachen as the award winnder from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Juraristi received one of the four Georg Forster research awards. The award is endowed with 60000 Euros and is awarded to scientists from emerging and developing countries.

 

Award winners are invited to come to Germany. "Juaristi represents the best of chemistry in his country. His work has been internationally recognized. Juaristi currently works in the field of solvent-free synthesis, which is extremely important," said Professor Dr. Carsten Bolm from the RWTH Aachen Institute of Organic Chemistry. Bolm nominated his Mexixan colleague and is looking forward to the collaboration. Juaristi, born December 21, 1950, will start research in Aachen in March 2013.
