2019 DAAD Award for International Students at RWTH

04/06/2019

The DAAD Prize honors international students and doctoral candidates at RWTH who stand out for their outstanding academic achievements and social and intercultural engagement.

RWTH Aachen University faculties, university organizations, RWTH student associations, and the RWTH student union AStA can nominate suitable candidates for the award, which comes with 1,000 euros in prize money.

The Award can only be given to international candidates who are regularly enrolled at a German university and whose primary place of residence is in Germany. They must be in at least the second year of their Bachelor's studies or the second semester of their Master's studies, have a good academic performance, and be involved in social and intercultural activities.

Recent graduates who completed their studies in the past three months and doctoral candidates can also be nominated. International students are classified as individuals who have acquired their university entrance qualification abroad or supplemented their school qualifications with a German preparatory college. Visiting and exchange students and students who have already received the DAAD Award cannot be considered.

Nominations Until June 11, 2019

Candidates for the award must be nominated by June 11, 2019. The nominations are to be sent via email to Dominika Dudzik at International Office and must include a resume and a description of your academic performance with your current transcript of records and social or intercultural engagement.

A selection committee will review the nominations and determine the winner of the award, which will be presented during Welcome Week in September 2019.
