Kinderuni Anniversary
RWTH Rector Ernst Schmachtenberg is giving the 75th lecture for children.
How long have universities existed? When did RWTH Aachen open? Why do we need universities and who works there? Rector Ernst Schmachtenberg will be answering questions like these during the anniversary event "How Does a University Work?" on Friday, June 17, 2016, at 5pm in the RWTH Audimax. The mechanical engineer will explained how he came to serve as rector and what his responsibilities are. The children will learn what the advantages of university studies are, how they work, and what prerequisites one needs to fulfill.
Before the lecture there will be small framework program starting at 3:30pm in the foyer at the main entrance of the Audimax. Here children can participate in different activities and enter a prize drawing. Winners will be drawn at the end of the event.
